Self-care, self-love & self-worth.

The festive season can be a stressful time. That’s why it’s so important take some time to care for your mind, body & soul all the time but especially during stressful periods.

Self-care isn’t always bubble baths although there is definitely a place for that: meditating in the bath is one of my favourite self-care treats! It’s also about doing what you need to nurture & nourish yourself.

Simply taking sometime to do this sends a powerful message – it sends message about your self-worth. That you love yourself enough to take care of yourself. You send a message to the Universe: I am worth it, that’s why I am investing in myself, taking some time to make myself a priority. And this is an act of self-love & you are SO worth it.

Self-care is an act of self-love which boosts self-worth: what a beautiful virtuous circle.

When life is stressful like it can be around & leading up to the holidays, it’s even more important to practice self-care. This is because when we are living in stress we are living in survival mode, drawing from our energetic field. We need to balance this by activating the rest & digest system of the parasympathic nervous system to boost our energetic field.

But self-care doesn’t always have to take a long time. Some of the best self-care tools are little techniques that you can turn to when you are triggered, stressed, overwhelmed. You discover them on journey, play around with them & realize they work & you pop them in your self-care tool kit, knowing you can turn to them whenever you need them.

That’s why having a self-care toolkit is such a great way to navigate stressful times like the festive season – you have an arsenal of tools to use to help you flow with grace & ease through the holiday’s.

So I’ve created the Self-care Advent Calendar. Every day from 1st Dec -24th Dec there will be tips & techniques that I have used regularly & know work. I’ll be going live every Tuesday with news about what to expect that week & again on Friday to give away a fab PRIZE.

Everyday there will be a new tip: a mantra, breath work, meditation, yoga poses. I have used all these techniques in my own peri & meno journey so they are worth checking out because I know they work.

Even if you are lucky enough not to be at this point in your life, well guess what they still work & practicing self-care is still important especially during stressful times. Why not give yourself the ultimate gift? The gift of self-care.
