Going through the menopause & things can feel very out of your control. I know I certainly felt like that. It was immensely chaotic & very confusing. I couldn’t remember things, I thought I was going mad.
And if I didn’t feel like this I was miserable, moody & beyond irritable, snappy & exploding frequently, if not all the time…it felt like that. It all felt very much out of my control.
Until I started to understand what was going on & what was in my control. It wasn’t as simple as getting HRT & bosh I was fixed. It was a lot of inner work, energy management, yoga, meditation, self-care. Making time for myself most mornings before the kids are even up to do this because it made me feel better, much happier, so much healthier physically, mentally & emotionally.
And so it was a fairly logical conclusion when I started to become aware of how the menopause was beginning to impact how I looked, not just how I felt, to explore Face Yoga.
Face Yoga is now a daily part of my early morning rituals & not only does it make be look better but I feel like I have a little control over one of the aspects of the menopause without having to resort to medication. And both of these are a little boost to your confidence & so you start to feel better & it becomes a virtuous circle.

Just recently I received another compliment about how I was looking. I’m not sure if I’m just more aware & appreciative of such comments & therefore I notice them more & most noticeably consciously decide not to shrug it off or go all self-depreciating.
Or whether the inner work I have been doing is starting to show on the outside too which I recently started to become aware can happen.
